The parade will be held on Saturday, August 11, from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. along Highway 50.

The parade will consist of 40-60 law enforcement vehicles driving along Highway 50, beginning at the casino corridor, and concluding at the shops by the “Y”. Traffic traveling both ways will be open; however, the far right lane traveling west bound will be designated for the law enforcement vehicles.

“We felt it was important to come together as a community and show our appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the agencies involved in conquering the fire,” said Patrick Kaler, executive director of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority. “The men and women who fought this fire are true heroes, and we are proud to have them as part of our South Shore community.”
