ASSEMBLYMAN GAINES ANNOUNCES TAHOE COMMUNITY MEETING
Forum Will Focus on Fire Protection and Forest Management Reform
SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Ted Gaines (R-Roseville) today announced that he will be holding an important community forum in South Lake Tahoe on July 23rd, to discuss fire protection and forest management reform with local, state and federal officials. Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons will join Assemblyman Gaines at the forum.
Gaines will also discuss his plans for a legislative proposal that would provide a tax credit of up to $500 annually for residents who create or expand a defensible space around their homes or property. Members of the public are invited to attend and comment following the presentations.
